Jason Scott Rebalence Counseling

Jason is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A) and a graduate of St. Edwards University, where he earned his Master’s degree in Counseling. Currently under supervision as he accrues the hours necessary to achieve full licensure, Jason provides compassionate and effective therapy for individuals, couples, and families. His work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps clients understand the distinct parts of themselves and how these parts influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Jason’s appreciation for the power of therapy stems from his own experiences during challenging times in his life. These personal insights shape his work as a clinician, where he serves as a nonjudgmental, empathetic guide for clients navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, sexual identity, and relationship challenges. He believes therapy should be both straightforward and transformative, helping clients shed what no longer serves them while embracing their strengths to foster growth and healing.

Jason’s collaborative style empowers clients to identify and tackle the issues impacting their daily lives. Together, he works with clients to create specific, actionable goals tailored to their unique circumstances, whether they’re seeking individual therapy to explore personal growth, couples therapy to enhance communication and connection, or family therapy to improve relationships and dynamics.

While Jason’s approach is practical and goal-oriented, he acknowledges that therapy requires courage and commitment. “Making the first step to seek change signals that a client is ready to make fundamental shifts in their existence,” he says. With warmth, empathy, and professionalism, Jason is dedicated to supporting clients through this transformative process, helping them achieve the balance and well-being they deserve.

When he’s not working with clients, Jason values holistic mind-body health and strives to maintain balance in his own life—a commitment he brings into his practice at Rebalance Counseling. He enjoys yoga, writing creative fiction, and seeing live country/Americana/folk music.
